Dearest fans,

Abunai “Looking for Group” is just 3 days away. All the maids are very excited about this weekend and are looking forward to it!

We’re very busy with preparing all kinds of things. Today our poster were delivered and the menu’s will be printed too. And in about two days we will shop for our ingredients and we will make home-made delicious sweets.

For the con visitors who dont know us and are curious about our full menu!? Then be sure to visit us during the convention ^__^ Our maid cafe is a relaxing place with nice music, delicious sweets & drinks! Gentle maids will serve you and you can also take a picture with our maids <3

As you can see, our maid cafe will not be there for the full three days. This is because we will introduce our little brother “Royal Roulette”, a butler cafe presented by one of our maids. To be specific our head maid “Sharon”, possible by “Cybermaid Productions” who is also the owner of “Sparkling Potpourri”

It has been a long time since Anime 2011! We are back with our sparkling maids on Abunai Looking for group on 26 till 28 August! Just one week to go.

Hana-tan our mascotte will be cosplaying again, this time not a scary and cute vampire! But a cute sparkling magical girl. Once again one of our maids“Machi” & “Nathalie de Graaf/Nafa” made this beautiful art, we <3 it!

This year Animecon theme is “Children of the nights”. Our mascotte “Hana-tan” and our maids have been bitten by vampire’s and will be serving as vampire’s during this year maid cafe event.

Be sure to visit our cafe, we will serve on the second floor at the location where also breaktfast and dinner will be served. You can’t miss it!

Great news! We will have a FULL cafe at anime convention 2011. The convention will be held at the Almelo Hotel and we’ve been given a fitting location for our maid cafe. We’re very excited about it, because this is our first time we have a full maid cafe during this convention. Last year we had a cute little stand and were serving hot waffles <3. We had a lot of fun during that convention, but we had a lot of comments about why we didn't had a maid cafe. Now we have proven ourself to the hotel and we have made an agreement with them.

But that’s not all! We not only got a location for our maid cafe, we also may serve curry rice ^_^. Of course we will introduce some new home made sweets too. But for that, you have to wait till the convention itself.

So remember, when you are hungry during the convention or just want some sweets with a cold drink, be sure to visit us and you will be served by one of our lovely maids <3.

Hello fans!

Good news! Sparkling Potpourri will be back at Animecon 2011. We hope we can do much more then last year, though last year we had a lot of fun too. We baked hot waffles and served sake at Animecon 2010 ^__^. But this year we hope we can have our full cafe and enjoy the fans and visitors much more!

Today is the day the maids will have a meeting. We’re going to have some fun with shopping with the girls while our manager Karim is making some nice curry rice for us. When the group is complete we’re going to enjoy the meal. We also want to serve curry rice at the conventions IF we have made an agreement with the hotel. So let’s hope we can!

During and after the meal we’re having some chit chat about cafe improvements. We already have made some decisions like: Mascot update by new artist and new flyer’s. Of course we also have to make an updated menu. Thats one of the things we’re going to discuss too. It also depends on the hotel. For example, if we cannot serve curry rice >_< we have to think of something else.

For now we have to wait for more answers our self, more up date’s soon!

Sparkling Potpourri back in 2011

It has been a long time since our last post was submitted. In this time of year, it’s always a little bit quiet because there are no conventions. The first convention of 2011 will probably be in May. We know its still a long time to go. But please have patience ^__^ before you know it, we’re standing before your table and taking your orders

We had hoped to organize our maid cafe soon at Tsunacon in January. But a new cafe has joined the scene called “Blue Tail” and they have been given the opportunity to start their cafe at Tsunacon as an Maid/Butler Cafe. It’s too bad we weren’t chosen, but don’t despair and just wait a little longer for the next cons. We are already making arrangements and planning new ideas to improve our maid cafe in 2011.

stripdagen

Today was the day that “Stripdagen 2010” was held at Expo Houten. It was our first experience beside animecons. It was a bit different then we’re used to, but it was fun nonetheless!

At the moment we are planning what conventions we will be attending in 2011 ^_^.

back on stripdagen 2010

After standing on abunai 2010, we were invited by people from the “Stripdagen”. They wanted us to help them to show Stripdagen visitors what the anime/japanese culture is all about! So, of course we will be there. We will not have a full cafe, instead of that we will serve the people who are standing in lines or walking around the Stripdagen halls drinks and cupcakes. We hope the visitors will appreciate our help and that they will get a taste of the Japanse Culture ^_^

Stripdagen will be on 25 & 26 September. The location will be in Houten, the same location as Chibicon 2009 & 2010. We will only be there on Saturday the 25th.
