Let me look back at the con.
We arrived about an hour before the con opened, so we set up all our stuff at the location.
The location was an open room with lots of space and a very nice counter.
I already saw that the open location might become a problem for crowd control, and i was proven right.
There were too many customers at some points! O_O
Even with 8 maids and me we were busy as hell most of the time, luckily we had some nice gophers to help us with crowd control.

Another thing that made the start a little rusty was the time written in the con booklet, we were supposed to open at 12.00, but were forced to open at 10.30-11.00 because of the open location.
People were already sitting in our cafe and asking for our products.
Because of that we couldn’t hold the planned maid meeting at 11.30 to talk about a work strategy…so this was held during the cafe at about 12.00.
After the maid meeting, things went a lot better and structured :3

Our products were selling great and everyone loved the cafe!
The maids and I have gotten lots of compliments about the looks of our improved cafe and our food.
At the start things didn’t go super because we couldn’t have a meeting because of the miss communication between Sparkling Potpourri and Chibicon about the opening time.
But the maids picked up the serving rhythm very fast after the maid meeting and we were working like a well oiled machine
All the maids and myself had a wonderful time at Chibicon serving all our customers, we were very busy but it was lots of fun again!

I would like to thank Chibicon for the outstanding arrangements for our cafe!
It was very professional, and we would love to continue serving at Chibicon in the future!
I would also like to thank ALL our customers at Chibicon, i hope everyone was served well and enjoyed

We held a survey on the Aniway and Abunai forum where over 100 people gave us some nice feedback!
Thanks again to those that filled in the survey

After the survey we’ve gotten lots of e-mails from girls that wanted to be a maid in our maid cafe and you will be seeing some new faces, but also missing a couple.

We went over a major makeover site wise, looks, colors, mascotte.

And of course Chibicon asked us if we would attend their convention, which we gladly accepted!

Also, we were asked to attend the Elf Fantasy Fair this year but due to a few problems we were unable to attend.
I do wonder if we would even fit in there XD  But thats something to think about next year

I had plans to promote the Maid Cafe at last Anime Con, but that didn’t go trough as well, maybe next year.



Present

After Chibicon we will be attending Abunai 2009, thats where our roots are…can’t be missed!

New posters and other promo materials are being made, be sure to take look at them…actually, they are hard to miss XD so you’ll see em if you want to or not

We are working on our very own game called “Sweet Combo”, another addicive puzzle game like bejeweled…but Sparkling Potpourri style ( ‘ – ‘)/
It’s still in beta mode now, but when finished it will be hosted here on our website.



Future

The biggest thing we want to change are our maid costumes.
This Chibicon 2009 our maids will still be wearing diffirent kinds of maid costumes.
But we would love to have a uniform of our own, we already have ideas about design and colors etc.
Only thing we need is the money to make them for our maids.

The profit we make at Chibicon will be put into good use, from that profit we are going to make our very own costumes!
Since “Sparkling Potpourri” isn’t a Maid Cafe that attends conventions for our own profit we put our money back in the cafe to improve it!

So people…don’t hold back and eat as much sweet cookies and delicious curry rice as you can, knowing that from the food and drinks you buy from our maids will put them in beautiful, cute and mo-e~ maid costumes at next Abunai 2009! (゜∀゜)
